                                     Fall weather as always brings us towards the end of our season and the mayhem                                         that is the Whiskey Disc  Invitational.  This year’s penultimate tournament has historically been one for the records books.  In the past this tournament has seen everything:  unexpected winners, playoff golf, and more Fireball than a drunk wizard with infinite mana.  This year looks to be no different.  While Zach has managed to hold onto the lead so far, four strong players find themselves within two points of the lead.  Can someone pull away from the pack?  Can Zach finally find his first win in Madison and buy himself some breathing room?  Will Doug crush the field on this forehand favored course?  Can Carver or Prof replicate David’s past heroics and find lightning in a bottle and deliver the win?  Only time will tell, but this is sure to be one for the ages.

Hiestand Park is a difficult course offering unique challenges for our players.  The course has a mix of short and long holes creating some must-get birdie opportunities and some opportunities for 3 or 4 stroke separations.  There are lots of tight lines and more holes than we normally see that work right to left than usual, so you better bring the best forehand or turnover you’ve got or be prepared to explore some brutal rough.  The course can also be notoriously buggy, so you best have your babuska on standby.  As always, trash talk and side bets are encouraged, and in respect to the namesake, we better see some whiskey on the course boys.  Good luck!!
