The Hunt For The Triple Crown Is Over

The Hunt for the Triple crown came to an early end Saturday at Elver Park when Paul Fischer failed to defend his Founder's Cup Title. The Sun was beating down the players and only one was able to roll his ball to the top of the participant hill. Nico Baron came ready to play setting a new GBDGA course record and sailing his way to his first victory since the 2016 season. Could this be a sign of whats to continue in the future or was this merely a home court advantage? With only 2 tournament's in the 2018 GBDGA season the heat is on.

As the checkered flags wave...it’s Zach Jaraczewski who takes the win!!

Tensions were high as the GBDGA crew lined up on hill overlooking hole 1 at Gringon Park for this years Subaru Classic. As the golfers waited for the green light to start throwing, the sounds of Zachs walkup song played in the background. Only it wasn’t Winter that was coming on this glorious Saturday… it was another victory for Mr. Jaraczewski. Taking home 3 of the 4 tourny wins, this guys mantle is filling up quickly.

Scores fluctuated throughout the 2 rounds. Folks started slow and finished hot after their mid round pit stops and viceversa. Engines cooled after earning some early leads. Gringon showed its teeth with hole 17 being a major factor in final rankings.

To top it all off, we crowned a Long D champion! Mike Schneider threw an overhand Epic shot that was quite...epic. The final distance was somewhere in the ballpark of ~600ft!
